Morning...So far, the improved bar for the Echo 2511T bar is lasting longer than the last two bars. I now carry a spare in the truck. I have not kept track of the hours on it however if you look up my last for bars and warranty. From that date to day i run that saw every day x 5 days at least a minimum of 2 hours per day. That should give you some idea. So far much better. Kut-Rite pruning, service
I recently purchased a new ms500i for bucking up big cottonwood logs... straight stock I REALLY like the saw! I installed a MaxFlow filter to improve the air filtration and air intake flow, and then added this RipSaw signature exhaust and wow it runs great! The exhaust obviously sounds louder now but not obnoxious by any means. It sounds like a powerful chainsaw should sound IMO. The exhaust tone is fuller and a bit deeper which I really like. The best part is when cutting big logs now I've observed the saw runs cooler than stock. It just breathes easier and better all around. I did a fair bit of research and checking out comparisons to other mufflers online before buying. I'm really glad I went with this particular exhaust from RipSaw. The left side port is angled properly to direct the fumes (and sound) away from the operator. I think the left side port is better for heat dissipation too. The saw and the chain bar feel cooler to the touch after making multiple big cuts. Well done guys thanks!
