Ripsaw Modifications Include:
  • Cylinder machine work (Base cut & Squish cut) for increased compression
  • Re-size and re-shape of all ports and port windows for optimal air flow (intake, exhaust, upper and lower transfers)
  • Polished exhaust for reduced carbon build up
  • Chamfered port windows and cylinder base to deburr for longevity
  • Port matched muffler mod (Baffle delete, resized outlet hole)
  • Decompression delete
  • Computer recalibration

Yes get one.

I have had my Stihl 400 for a few months now and I do love it. I have a West Coast Muffler, aluminum side cover, and the big West Coast felling dogs. Overall, the completed saw does fill my needs and makes me happy. I Wished it came blacked out. They did fail on the Expedited shipping of a completed order. I do however do remand buying their Ported Chainsaws.

Purchased a 400CM from Ripsaw that got their special treatment. The first time I started it, let’s just say I needed a smoke. It’s makes sweet sweet music. The first cut through oak was like butter. The power is amazing! This saw is perfect. Very happy with the saw. You guys do some amazing work.

Incredible Saw

This is the best power saw I have ever used. I have always had Stihl saws and a Ripsaw blows them out of the water in any comparison. I would recommend a Ripsaw to anyone who is looking to upgrade their power saw.
